Q:　楽器をまだ持っていないのですが、どうしたらいいでしょうか。

 

A:　様々な方法が考えられますので、お気軽にご相談ください。状況に応じて最適な方法を考えてみたいと思います。特定の楽器店とのつながりはありません。

 

●ピアノ

88鍵で３本（または２本）のペダルがついているピアノをご用意頂きたいと思います。電子ピアノの場合は、最低でも10万円前後の機種をおすすめします。予算に応じて機種のご相談に乗ることも出来ますので、ご相談ください。

アップライトピアノ、グランドピアノをお考えの場合にはぜひ講師にご相談ください。レンタルや中古を探すという選択肢もあります。

体験レッスン時にご自宅にピアノがない場合には、講師宅でのレッスン、またはレンタルスタジオでの体験レッスンとなります。スタジオ代は生徒さんのご負担となりますので、ご了承ください。（1時間1500円程度）

 

●ヴァイオリン・クラリネット・トランペット

担当の先生にご相談ください。体験レッスンのときには楽器を貸してもらえる場合もあります。

 

Q:　２つ以上の楽器を習うことはできますか？

 

A:　はい、できます。ピアノ＋ヴァイオリン、ヴァイオリン＋声楽など、２つの楽器を習っている生徒さんもいます。また、楽器のレッスンに加えて、音楽理論やソルフェージュを同時に習うのもおすすめです。状況により生徒さんに最適の方法を考えますので、お気軽にご相談ください。

 

Q:　日本人を対象に英語で楽器のレッスンをすることはできますか？

 

A:　可能です！帰国子女の生徒さんが、英語力のキープのために、英語で楽器のレッスンを受けている例もあります。生徒さんの英語力が十分でない場合は、楽器のレッスンの進度が非常に遅くなってしまうため、ピアノと英語の時間を分けたり、無理のないように工夫してレッスンを進めます。

 

Q:　スケジュールはどのように決めていますか？

 

A:　講師と生徒さんの間で直接相談して決めています。特に、生徒さん宅への出張レッスンの場合には、講師の移動の都合で曜日・時間の変更をお願いすることもあります。また、新学年や新学期のタイミングで講師のスケジュールが混乱することがありますが、調整にも出来るだけご協力いただけると助かります。

 

Q:　発表会やイベントへの参加は必須ですか？

 

A:　出来るだけたくさんの発表の場を持つことが音楽家としての成長につながると考え、スクールでは季節に１回程度の発表の場を設けていますが、参加は必須ではありません。レッスンの進度などを考慮し、先生とも相談して、やってみよう！と思ったときにぜひご参加ください。

 

Q: 家族や兄弟での割引はありますか？

 

A:　兄弟やご家族２人以上レッスンを受講する場合は、２人目の入会金は5000円（通常10000円）となります。レッスン料金の割引ルールを設定している講師もおります。各講師のレッスンポリシーをご確認ください。

 

Q:　レッスン代はどのように支払えば良いでしょうか？

 

講師からレッスン代の請求がありましたら、現金、銀行振り込み（三菱UFJ銀行）、またはPayPalにてお支払いいただきます。銀行振り込みの際の手数料は生徒さんにご負担いただきます

 

Q:　ニュースレターを購読解除したいのですが。

 

A:  毎号ニュースレターの一番下に「unsubscribe from this list」という項目がありますので、クリックして購読解除の手続きをお願いします。また、事務所にご連絡いただければ解除の手続きをいたします。

 

Q:　休会・退会の手続きはどうしたら良いでしょうか？

 

A:　出来るだけ早く担当の先生にお伝えいただき、以下の届け出フォームにご記入ください。休会の場合、講師は休会中の生徒さんの時間を確保せず、空いた時間には新しい生徒さんを受け入れる場合もあります。復帰される際に改めて講師とスケジュールの相談をしていただくようお願いします。

Q: I don't have a musical instrument yet, what should I do?

 

A: There are many ways to prepare your instrument, so please feel free to contact us. We will try to figure out the best method for your situation. We do not have a connection to any specific music store.

 

* Piano

 

We would like you to have a piano with 88 keys and three (or two) pedals. For electronic pianos, we recommend a model that is at least around 100,000 yen. We can consult with you about the model depending on your budget, so please contact us for more information.

If you are considering an upright piano or a grand piano, please consult with your teacher. You can also choose to rent a piano or look for a used piano.

If you do not have a piano at home for your trial lesson, you may choose to have lessons at the teacher's home or rental studio. Please note that students are responsible for the cost of the rental studio. 

 

* Violin, clarinet and trumpet

 

Please consult with your teacher. In some cases, you may be able to borrow an instrument for a trial lesson.

 

Q: Can I learn more than one instrument?

 

A: Yes, you can. Some students learn two instruments, such as piano + violin or violin + voice. In addition to instrumental lessons, we also recommend learning music theory and solfege at the same time. Please feel free to contact us to discuss the best method for you, depending on the situation.

 

Q: How do teachers arrange their lesson schedule?

 

A: The teacher and the student will consult directly with each other to determine the lesson schedule. In particular, when the teacher travels to the student's home, the lesson schedule may need to be changed to accommodate the teacher's travel arrangements. Also, the timing of the new school year and the new semester can cause confusion in the teacher's schedule. If you can also help us out as much as possible, we would appreciate it.

 

Q: Do students have to attend a concerts or events?

 

A: We believe that having as many opportunities to perform music as possible will help you grow as a wonderful musician. We offer about one concert per season, but participation is not required. Please take into account your progress in the lesson and discuss it with your teacher, and give it a go! Please join us when you feel like it.

 

Q: Do you offer discounts for family and siblings?

 

A: If two or more siblings or family members take lessons, the enrollment fee for the second sibling is ¥5,000 (usually (10,000 yen). Some teachers have discount policies for their lessons. Please check each teacher's lesson policy.

 

Q: How do I pay for the lessons?

 

When the teacher charges you for the lessons, you can pay in cash, by bank transfer (Mitsubishi UFJ Bank), or by PayPal(credit card). Students are responsible for the bank transfer fee.

 

Q: How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?

 

A: There is a word "unsubscribe from this list" at the bottom of every newsletter. Please click it to cancel your subscription. You can also contact the office and we will process your cancellation.

 

Q: What is the procedure for suspending or stopping lessons?

 

A: Please let your teacher know as soon as possible and fill out the notification form below. When students suspend taking lessons for a while, teachers will not keep time for the the student during the suspension, and the new student will be available for the teachers' free time. We ask you to discuss lesson schedule again with the teacher when you return to lessons.
