阿部瑠美　Rumi Abe (Jazz Piano)

4才からエレクトーンを始め、様々なジャンルの音楽に親しむと同時に作曲・音楽理論などを学ぶ。 

大学時代にアメリカへ留学し、カリフォルニア州立大学サンディエゴ校 ビジネス経営学部を卒業。 在学中に一般音楽、アメリカ音楽史等の単位を取得。 留学先のアメリカにて本場のジャズに出会い、衝撃を受ける。現地のライブハウスに通いジャズに没頭する。 

2009年帰国後、大手人材紹介会社に入社し、海外転職および外国人向け就職サポートを中心としたキャリアコンサルタントとして勤務。 同時に、ジャズ界の巨匠・辛島文雄氏に師事し本格的にジャズを中心とした音楽の勉強を始める。その後都内近郊のライブハウスを中心に演奏活動を開始。 

2016年夏より約1年間ロサンゼルスに滞在する。ピアニスト・作曲家Josh Nelson氏に師事し更に音楽について学びを深める。現地ミュージシャンとのセッション、ライブ活動やレコーディング等に励む。 これまで、日本、アメリカにてピアノ、ジャズピアノの個人レッスンの経験あり。

She started playing Electone (Electronic organ) at age 4 with various kinds of genre of music and studied composing and basic music theory.  

She earned bachelor's degree in Business Management from San Diego State University as well as  some credits in General Music and American Music History.

While she was in the US, she fell in love with Jazz and became enthusiastic about listening to live jazz. 

After coming back home in 2009, she started working for a human resource company and gained her experience in providing career consulting for foreigners in Japan. 

While working, she studied  music theory mainly in Jazz with Fumio Karashima. After that, she played the jazz piano at live music clubs and hotels in Tokyo. 

In the summer of 2016, she moved to Los Angeles and studied with Josh Nelson and expanded her experiences by playing with local musicians in live sessions and recordings for one year. 

She has provided private lessons of piano and Jazz piano in Japan and the US.
